About Bald Blair

The Bald Blair Angus Herd was started by the White Brothers in 1888. In 1908 H.F. White registered the Bald Blair Angus Stud. The Stud was run by Richard and Sam White up until January, 2005. It is now being run by Sam White and his family.
The Bald Blair Herd is a commercially oriented Stud supplying Bulls to Commercial Producers and a 550 head purebred Angus commercial herd being run on Bald Blair and other associated properties. Approximately 200 Herdbook, APR and Recipient Dams are joined each year for Stud Bull and Stud Replacement Females. Our commercial herd is our proving ground for our bulls, with selected sires being evaluated across our cows. Our commercial steer progeny are targeted towards the feedlot sector, in particular the Japanese market, with steers usually going to Rangers Valley Feedlot, Glen Innes. The majority of the commercial females are currently used as replacement females.
